    About us

    Leanest is an Estonian IT company established in 2016 and its founders are a team of experienced IT specialists. We have specialized in software development- with our custom solutions combined with thorough prior analysis and innovative technologies, we offer our clients an opportunity to take their business to a new level - to increase the efficiency, planning and automated processes.

    Business solutions offered by Leanest can be divided into three major categories: production optimization (IME 5.0, MES), workforce planning (Stafflogic, Staffic) and AI-based automated quality control and sorting solutions (wood industry, waste sorting etc.). Our customers operate in a wide variety of sectors such as manufacturing, retail, banking, security services, etc. Read more about our solutions under “Products”.

      Our team of ca 20 people has strong .net development competence and an average of 15 years of development-related work experience. We have also specialized in image recognition algorithms and in machine learning. We apply artificial intelligence technology in areas where “ordinary” technology does not provide any more the most efficient solution, e.g., in quality control jobs in the factories. Everything we do, we do with dedication and by creating added value.

      Our offices are in Tallinn and Tartu but our team has members from other parts of Estonia and even from outside Estonia.

      Our main office is located in Ülemiste business campus – in the heart of innovation and the most modern working environment in Tallinn.

      We value our employees and their well-being, so we also support remote and hybrid work forms that allow to create a better balance between work and family life.

As a person who naturally enjoys a lot of communication, I can leverage my need for interaction by searching new clients or partners. What I like most at Leanest is the team I interact with on a daily basis.

      At Leanest, my work concerns the development of devices – including design, manufacture and installation management. What I like about my job is that I can apply my previous experience of mechanical engineering in mechanics, and in addition, several projects offer challenges in the field of automation.

      At Leanest, I especially appreciate working with trusting but also supportive team. I have the opportunity to see how devices using machine learning are integrated into the quality operations of various manufacturing companies, and often a tailor-made device made in Estonia looks ahead to world-renowned quality devices.

      I have been involved in production optimization solutions (IME/MES) in Leanest since the company was founded. My role is mostly in software development, creating the big picture or architecture, but increasingly I also participate in analysis. I like to communicate directly with many different people on the client side, direct contact is indispensable for making the right decisions. It is difficult to make software decisions without communicating directly with the end users – often this end user is the one working with the production machines – enabling their cooperation through software is an excellent criterion for evaluating the work result. All software problems start with tangible concerns. We’re solving real problems, not just putting data sets in place. I value most the feeling of doing my own thing. At Leanest, I appreciate the variety of tasks, competent co-workers, and little bureaucracy.

It is very important for me that we can create and lead the innovation ourselves. In doing so, we can contribute to the development of both our customers and employees. At Leanest, we consider it important that our employees can fulfill themselves in the best possible way, so that a balance between work and private life can be achieved.       What attracts me about Leanest and StaffLogic is that we do not make our product for ourselves, but for our customers. This has given me the opportunity to work closely with more than 20 companies outside the IT sector and to get a sense of their culture, business and the nuances of the respective sector. IT has not been a thing in itself, but an opportunity to collaborate and contribute to very different sectors, and it has been exciting and varied. Without changing the employer every year, I have gained experience of what it would be like to work in different Estonian companies, from trade, to production and security services, with stops in Latvia and Lithuania. It also gives valuable opportunity to cooperate with other companies in the IT sector regarding integrations. In terms of education, IT is also an excellent platform that opens the doors to various fields. It’s been a long time since the IT department is no longer a separate, mysterious server room; instead, it is now a core function supporting the main processes of companies. In order to successfully support this, you need to understand the customer’s business very well at the level of an analyst, product manager, and that’s exciting.

      StaffLogic’s customers are the ones who continue to keep the sparkle in my eyes and the will to go to work every morning to take on the challenges of the new day, and they are plentiful. Every day offers me plenty of communication opportunities as well as delving into the depths of the database to find a needle in a haystack like Sherlock Holmes.

      As a bonus to the diversity offered by customers, my work is supported by an excellent team and an agile company. We have very little internal bureaucracy and a high results orientation, which is my vibe.
